MISSOULA- The 16th annual Heat Expo brought people from all over the area to St. Patrick’s Hospital on Saturday.
Imaging specialists, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and researchers gave speeches and presented information about the newest procedures and technology that is working to help people protect their heart health.
Participants were also offered health screenings.
St. Patrick Hospital cardiologist Dr. Bradley Berry, said the event was an excellent chance for the public to start planning for the future.
“We’re not going to correct every risk factor overnight. Patients will do better; they start working on them now. I think the next step is for them to start working on those and live a healthier lifestyle through activities,” said Dr. Berry.
He recommends if you can’t be outside because of the cold talk to your doctor about ways you can compensate by adjusting your diet.
