What is your job?
I am a reporter, but technically my job title is Multi Media Journalist. That means I shoot, write, and edit all my own stories. If you’ve ever seen me out and about and wondered where my camera guy is, I’m my own camera guy!
When did you start working here?
I started working in the production room at KPAX in 2018.
Where else have you worked?
I’m lucky to say this is my first job in television news. Before this I had odd jobs in my hometown, on campus and at restaurants in Missoula.
Where did you go to college?
I have a BA in Journalism from The University of Montana.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Columbia Falls, Montana and made my way over to Missoula for college.
What are some of the biggest news stories you have covered or led coverage of?
I led coverage of a potential active shooter situation in downtown Missoula.
What is your philosophy on news?
I believe news is meant to serve people by way of offering information. As a member of “the media” I believe it is my job to offer fair, honest information about whatever issues, good or bad, are happening in my community.
What do you love about living here?
I love everything about Missoula. We have all the best things of a college town and a river town combined. I love our restaurants, local music, and how nature is never too far. I also have to say I really love all the wonderful Missoulians I get to meet every day.
