HELENA — Health providers are looking for any help they can get due to a nationwide shortage of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

That's why the Montana State Fund recently donated 1,000 N-95 masks to the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS).

DPHHS will now distribute the masks as needed to high-need areas, making the donation a critical one as more confirmed COVID-19 cases are reported in Montana.

"N95 respirators are highly important pieces of medical material that we're seeking at this time," said Colin Tobin with DPHHS.

"There is a national shortage, as everyone is well aware of, so every little bit helps. And we'll try to get these out as quickly as possible to our local partners to help fight the COVID-19."
