KALISPELL – Authorities have has released the name of the visitor to Glacier National Park who was reported missing on Tuesday morning and later found dead in Lake McDonald that afternoon.
Corporal Travis Bruyer with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office said the victim has been identified as 48-year-old Wei Lui from Tempe, Ariz.
Bruyer said Thursday that Lui fell into the lake and was unable to swim back to the dock in the lake’s freezing-cold water, which led to the man drowning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Glacier National Park is still investigating the incident.
