LAKESIDE – Demolition began on Thursday to transform the marina in Lakeside.
Under new ownership, the waterfront restaurants in Lakeside are undergoing extensive renovations. Experienced hospitality manager Kevin Pitts will oversee all food and beverages for the new restaurants.
Pitts told MTN News that the renovations will be done in stages. Crews first demolished the old Rosario’s building as it was not structurally sound and that will be followed by the addition of seating and a pavilion to the neighboring grill.
Pitts says the new owners hope to transfer the marina into a thriving destination spot and to host major events. The hope is to have the new grill open this summer.
