A Helena church held a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020.

Six Capital High School graduates stood in the parking lot of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church as cars drove by and congratulated them.

Some visitors decorated their cars to commemorate the graduate's success and were allowed to leave cards or gifts for the graduates.

Each student is part of the church’s youth group. They are happy the community celebrated them even during this pandemic.

“Usually at our church, we have a night for all the seniors to get together and hang out and celebrate these last moments. It's good to know that the community supports us and are willing to adapt to the change," says David Hanson, a 2020 Capital High graduate.

It is estimated about 50 cars participated in the one-hour ceremony.
