MISSOULA — A hiker was rescued near Missoula late Wednesday night.
Missoula County Search and Rescue responded to a call for help for a hiker in the Rattlesnake area, according to the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office.
The hiker had intermittent cell service, did not have the appropriate clothing or equipment for the rapid drop in temperature.
A social media post states that the person recognized signs of their changing physical condition that prompted the call for help.
Search and Rescue volunteers responded and were able to locate and retrieve the individual at approximately 11:30 p.m.
