MISSOULA — The local running community lost Tony Banovich, a beloved runner and Missoula Marathon director in October.
But before the year ends, there will be a run in his name.
A coalition led by BibRave, Event Southwest, and the Louisville Running Company has created The Tony Banovich Roads, Tracks, and Trails Memorial Run with all proceeds going to Run Wild Missoula.
It will challenge participants to run or walk 4.35 miles – the average daily distance of Banovich’s 1,731day run streak while raising funds for Run Wild Missoula, an organization that held a special place in Banovich’s heart.
Registration will be open until Dec. 11 and participants will have until Dec. 31 to complete the event. Click here for more information about the event.
