GREAT FALLS – Two Cascade County Sheriff’s deputies noticed something on the side of the road while on patrol Wednesday.
Deputy Groskreutz and Deputy Horn spotted some movement just off of Lower River Road.
When they pulled over, they saw a distressed golden eagle. The two deputies contacted Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the bird is now in their care.
Deputy Groskreutz said it’s the second eagle he’s helped in his career.
The Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office joked on Facebook that their deputies help all residents of Cascade County.
