The International Heart Institute of Montana presents its annual Heart Expo on Saturday, March 2, from 7:00 a.m. to noon at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.

Whether you’re a health care provider or a member of the community, this is a great opportunity to learn about heart health, get diagnostic tests for nominal fees and meet experts from the heart institute.

Here are five reasons more than 1,000 people flock to this event each year.

  1. Admission is Free

You can’t get into your doctor’s office for free, but admission into the conference center puts you in the company of cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, imaging specialists, nurses and researchers.

  1. Screening Exams are Just 5 – 10 Bucks

Screening exams for prostate cancer, thyroid function, blood sugar levels, and blood fats and glucose will be available for nominal payments. Payment must be made by cash or check and accurate results require fasting for 12 hours before the tests. (You may continue to take your medications and drink water.) Refreshments will be available.

  1. Lectures from Leading Experts

The most renowned heart experts in Western Montana will present the latest information on critical health subjects such as atrial fibrillation; heart failure diagnosis, therapy and management; electrophysiology; and surgical aortic valve replacement.

  1. You’ll Leave the Expo Smarter About Your Health

Learn about new medical therapies, procedures, treatments and research being conducted at the International Heart Institute, and meet renowned providers.

  1. Displays and Information Booths

Stop by any of the dozens of information booths and displays to learn more about living a heart-healthy life.

Providers volunteer their time for this event because it’s so popular. Community members can learn important information about improving their health at no cost.

Founded in 1995, the International Heart Institute has clinics located throughout Western Montana, including Missoula, Hamilton, and Butte. IHI physicians travel to other communities to help maintain heart health across our region.
