MISSOULA — Some valley fog will be possible across western Montana this morning. In between this, expect partly sunny skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms once again developing this afternoon. Highs Tuesday will top out in the 60's.
Scattered rain showers will remain in the forecast Wednesday with high temperatures remaining in the 60's.
A brief area of high pressure will set up Thursday and Friday. This will allow skies to clear and temperatures to warm into the upper 60's and low 70's Thursday then low to upper 70's Friday.
One change to the forecast was to add a chance for rain showers across northwest Montana Friday afternoon. Forecast models are trending towards a weak disturbance which will bring increased clouds and rain potential as far south as Flathead Lake.
Although details for next weekend are still hazy, the overall pattern looks shift back to a cool and wet weather set up starting Sunday and lasting through the beginning of next week.
