MISSOULA — After a cold start to the day temperatures will only warm up into the 40's this afternoon. However, as high pressure continues to build over the northern Rockies expect sunny skies overhead.
We will see a general warming trend through the weekend with upper 40's to low 50's Friday and middle to upper 50's Saturday and Sunday.
By Sunday afternoon, a weak system will bring increasing clouds and a chance for rain into Monday. Most of the shower activity with this system looks to develop in northwest Montana.
High pressure will quickly build back in Tuesday through at least Thursday of next week. Expect sunny skies overhead with temperatures topping out in the 50's and even a few 60's possible by the middle of next week.
