Police: Man tried to snatch baby from a stroller

    Lincoln, NE (KETV) — Police in Lincoln are investigating an attempted kidnapping.

Around 9:30 p.m Wednesday, a woman reported that she was on a walk with her son in a stroller. She said a man in a gold SUV stopped nearby and approached her.

The woman said the man tried to pull her child from the stroller, but she put up a fight, bear-hug tackled the man and kicked him. He threw her into a light pole, then ran off.

Lincoln police say the reported incident happened on the 8000 block of Yellowknife Drive, which is near 80th & Holdrege.

They are looking for a white man, approximately 40 to 50 years old, 6 feet one inches tall, weighing 250 lbs.
