MISSOULA — Severe weather in Western Montana on Saturday brought a damper to one of the biggest events in Missoula this weekend.
“Everyone was running around and me and my friend had to run down next to the fun house, and we had to run underneath it and hide, and we had to wait there for a while," Gracie Winn recalled.
People at the Western Montana Fair were running for cover as hail, rain and high winds brought a halt to the rides.
“We waited in line for a really long time, and it started raining and hailing when we got to the top,” Montana Bier told MTN News.
Kids stuck it out and waited for the storm to pass -- while parents, called it a day.
"We’re gonna go home and get some food," one parent told us.
The Western Montana Fair ends its run on Sunday.
