MISSOULA — I hope you had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July weekend!

We certainly ended the weekend on a nice note as our Sunday brought a clear blue sky with temperatures warming into the upper 70s and low 80s across Western Montana.

As we look ahead to the workweek, other than one day which looks to be a wet one, the rest of the week is shaping up to be very nice. That includes a warm start to the week.

Monday promises to be a beautiful day with sunshine from start to finish an afternoon highs warming into the lower to mid-80s.

As we head into Tuesday, clouds will increase as will our chances for rain and a few thunderstorms.

In fact, Tuesday looks to be a pretty cloudy day with chances of rain and storms on the high side, especially from the late morning to early afternoon hours.

Temperatures will be much cooler than Monday as most areas will only reach the lower to mid-70s.

We’ll see a very nice recovery on Wednesday. Expect a mostly sunny to sunny sky from start to finish with afternoon highs reaching into the mid to upper 70s. A few locations may hit the 80° mark.

Thursday will be another sunny day featuring warm temperatures. Look for highs to reach the lower to middle 80s.

Friday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a slim chance of an afternoon shower and a high in the lower 80s.

Next weekend is looking very good. We'll see mostly sunny to sunny sky with highs in the 80s.
