Great Falls annual Crop Hunger Walk looks different this year

The 51st annual Crop Hunger Walk will take place on Sunday, but it's going to look a little different this year.

The First English Lutheran Church is hosting this year's walk in downtown Great Falls from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Crop Hunger Walks are held in cities across America to raise funds to support the mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization that aims to improve communities by responding to hunger, poverty and disaster.

What is usually a large walk around town, will now take place partially online.

Participants will be able to join the walk in small, socially-distanced groups, or they have the option to view the walk from the comfort of their home, and 25% of the funds raised will go to support the helping hands food pantry to help fight hunger in our community.
