UPDATE 12:30 P.M.: The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says 0n Facebook that it is looking for a vehicle reported stolen that may be related to an escaped detention center inmate.
The vehicle is a 1991 Chevrolet S10 pickup, blue in color, license plate number 51-1565B. If seen, do not approach and call 911 immediately.
UPDATE 8:00 A.M.: The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to be vigilant after an inmate escaped the detention center Friday night.
According to law enforcement, Tory Gee remained on the loose Saturday morning.
Just before 3:30 a.m. the Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that residents no longer need to remain indoors, but vehicles and homes should be locked.
According to the Jefferson Co. Detention Center roster Gee was being held on a warrant out of Madison County with a $50,000 bond.
The Montana Sexual & Violent Offender website states that Gee is a registered violent offender, with a conviction for assault with a weapon in 2010 in Madison County.
BOULDER: The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office alerted Boulder residents early Saturday morning to lock their doors and remain inside after an inmate escaped the Jefferson County Detention Center.
The inmate, Tory Gee, escaped just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the man was wearing a white t-shirt with orange pants. He has clean shaven face and head.
If you see the escapee call 911 immediately, do not approach him.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said updates will be provided on their Facebook page and through the county's low power FM radio station.
