Blackfeet Tribe reports COVID-19 related death

BROWNING — The Blackfeet Tribe reports that a tribal member has passed away as a result of COVID-19.

Tribal officials note the individual was not on the Blackfeet Reservation at the time of their passing.

“Our thoughts and prayers to the family during this time,” the Tribe said in a social media post.

The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map was reporting 16 deaths when the new numbers were released on Friday morning.

There have been six deaths in Toole County, two in Cascade County, two in Flathead County, two in Yellowstone County, and one each in Lincoln, Madison, Missoula and Gallatin counties.

The news comes as Montana was reporting Friday morning that there were no new cases of COVID-19 being reported in the state. The total number of COVID-19 cases remains at 453.
