MISSOULA — Missoula County COVID-19 Incident Commander Cindy Farr provided an update on COVID-19 testing in Missoula during her Tuesday update.
The Missoula City-County Health Department hoped to begin asymptomatic testing a couple of weeks back, but with the recent uptick in cases, at this time they will focus entirely on individuals who are showing symptoms.
According to Farr, the department is completing as many tests as they can, which comes to about 80 to 90 tests each day at their drive-thru testing location.
Until they have the ability to offer more tests, local health officials are putting asymptomatic testing for frontline workers on hold.
