Gallatin City-County Board of Health extends emergency rule, orders bars, coffee shops and more to close at 10 pm

The Gallatin City-County Board of Health voted 7-0 in favor of approving an extension of the local emergency rule by 90 days with these amendments.

1.) Restaurants, bars, distilleries, tasting rooms, coffee shops, etc. will now close at 10 pm and cannot be open between 10 pm and 4 am, with the exception of carry-out delivery.

2.) Those sitting in such businesses can only seat six per table, with the exception that kids under the age of 18 can sit with their parents or guardians of that number exceeds six.

3.) The capacity of “high risk” businesses and places of assembly (excluding churches, schools) must be lowered from 75% to 50%.

The 90 day period ends on February 4. The motion passed 7-0, two board members were not in attendance today for the final vote. The meeting has lasted more than 5 hours today.
