MISSOULA — Local health officials are reporting that eight additional COVID-19 cases were recorded in Missoula County over the weekend.

The Missoula City-County Health Department was reporting a cumulative positive case* total of 407 on Monday -- including four epi-linked cases.**

The latest numbers show there are currently 48 active COVID-19 cases in Missoula County. To date, there have been 356 recoveries and three deaths.

The third death was reported by local officials on Friday.

Local health officials additionally report that three people are hospitalized in Missoula County due to COVID-19 -- including two county residents.

Missoula became the first major city in Montana to require the wearing of face coverings on July 9.
