Missoula County reports 21 cases of COVID-19 Friday Sept. 18

Missoula City-County Health Department reports 21 new cases since Thursday Sept. 17.

There are 128 active cases in Missoula County as of Friday Sept. 18, with more than 575 close contacts.

The health department will notify close contacts privately and individually if/when associated with a known case and people are advised to not contact the health department directly.

MCCHD reports cases increasing in people ages 10-29, across the 128 active cases, 66-percent fall within this age demographic.

Of 128 active cases, 46-percent are close contacts to known cases, 30-percent are community-acquired, and 16-percent remain pending investigation.

There have been 581 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Missoula County with 450 recoveries and 3 deaths.

MCCHD is advising Missoulians to continue practice using face-coverings, physical spacing, smaller social circles, and thorough handwashing in conjunction with one another.
