MISSOULA — The Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) in Missoula is temporarily closing after a volunteer tested positive for COVID-19.
A social post states, "a summer volunteer has recently tested positive for COVID-19, and though this person has not been in the building since June 26, and the Missoula County Health Department directed us to continue as usual and not undergo any asymptomatic testing."
"We have chosen to be extremely cautious and test all staff and volunteers prior to reopening," the post continues.
The ZACC says the volunteer was not in any of the main public areas and community members who visited the center to paint or view art have no reason to worry.
They have also contacted the people who would have had any connection with the volunteer.
Staff is now working to reschedule all events.
