COVID-19 vaccine expected to arrive on Flathead Reservation this week

The first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive in the Mission Valley later this week.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) reports Tribal Health been notified that the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) will be allocating 100 doses of the new Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to Tribal Health.

The shipment of the vaccine is expected to arrive at the St. Ignatius Health Center on Tuesday or Wednesday. According to the state plan, frontline health care and eldercare workers are to receive the vaccinations first. COVID-19 vaccines are not being offered to the general public at this time.
