Yellowstone County reports 51st COVID-19 related death

According to RiverStone Health, Yellowstone County's public health department, another Yellowstone County resident has died due to COVID-19 related illness.

On Thursday, Sept. 12, a man in his 40s passed away at a hospital in Yellowstone County due to COVID-19 related illness. His death is reflected on Saturday's COVID-19 tracking map.

To protect the privacy of the deceased and his family, RiverStone Health will not release further information.

"My heart goes out to the family and friends of the deceased," said John Felton, Yellowstone County Health Officer and President and CEO of RiverStone Health. "Every loss of life to this disease is tragic and I hope that as a community we will resolve to do more to prevent additional illness and death due to COVID-19."

Since the start of the pandemic, two Yellowstone County residents in their 40s have died due to COVID-19 related illness. To date, 2,457 Yellowstone County residents have been infected with COVID-19 and 51 have died.
