MISSOULA – The 22-year-old Seeley Lake man accused of sexual intercourse without consent changed his plea to guilty as part of a plea agreement.

Justin Cahoon was charged with sexual intercourse without consent and sexual abuse of children after Missoula County Sheriff’s deputies discovered texts on the then 14-year-old victim’s phone that alluded to sexual intercourse between the two.

Cahoon was than arrested on Oct. 3 after he was found by deputies in the victims closet.

The victim denied having a sexual relationship with Cahoon during the interview process of the investigation.

Cahoon’s plea agreement drops the sexual abuse of children charge, but does agree to 20 years with 16 years suspended for the sexual intercourse without consent charge.
