Man charged with assault with a weapon after Great Falls Christmas Day disturbance

GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Police Department reports a man was arrested after he displayed a handgun on the lawn of a home and then refused to come out of the residence once police arrived.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of 9th Avenue North for reports of a disturbance around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The caller stated they did not know who the man, later identified as Calvin Osborne, was and that he had a handgun outside, according to the GFPD.

About two hours later, Osborne came out of the house voluntarily after commands and was arrested without incident.

There were no reports of any injuries. Osborne faces a charge for assault with a weapon.
