BUTTE — Butte police report six people have recently accidentally overdosed after using a potent form of heroin.
One of the overdose victims has died while the others have recovered, according to police.
Officers also report all of the victims used heroin intravenously and suffered immediate respiratory arrest.
The heroin is suspected of being highly potent and possibly laced with fentanyl.
Butte Silver Bow Sheriff Ed Lester is warning people not to use the drug because it is highly lethal.
