Details emerge from alleged altercation at TJ Maxx

MISSOULA — Details from an alleged altercation at TJ Maxx on Friday were released in court documents on Monday morning.

According to court documents law enforcement received reports of an employee being threatened by a woman with a knife.

Police received a report that one woman had entered a vehicle and two officers began to pursue the Nissan on reserve.

According to court documents at one point the Nissan struck a patrol vehicle and eventually was stopped by a small tree.

After a short foot pursuit officers apprehended 36-year-old Ashley Hartzell from Washington.

Hartzell told police that she had seen their vehicles while in the parking lot and fled because she had existing warrants.

Hartzell faces one felony criminal endangerment count a misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and one misdemeanor fleeing from or eluding a peace officer.
