MISSOULA — A Missoula man is set to appear in court Wednesday for rape charges dating back to August.

Elvin Dogtakinggun, 23, is being charged with aggravated sexual intercourse without consent, for allegedly assaulting a woman in her vehicle in a grocery store parking lot.

According to court documents, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Aug. 2, on the 2300 block of South Reserve Street.

The victim made a police report later that same day.

Court documents say Dogtakinggun told police when the woman told him no, “I just kinda figured … [Doe was] not really in the mood but she just needed a little extra help to get in the mood.”

The documents, filed on Dec 2, requested bail be set at $50,000.

Dogtakinggun is set to appear Wednesday afternoon for a warrant hearing.
