MISSOULA — A man has been arrested in connection with a Monday afternoon fatal shooting in Missoula.
Missoula County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jeannette Smith says Colton Merritt, 22, of Missoula surrendered to deputies without incident following the shooting.
Law enforcement was called to the reports of a homicide shortly in the 4700 block of Bailey Street shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Daniel L. Merritt, 57 of Missoula.
Colton Merritt was arrested for Deliberate Homicide and is being held in the Missoula County jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
