MISSOULA — The Missoula Police Department says it has received reports of a scam attempt where residents are told there is a contract on their life and they must pay to have it canceled.

Missoula PD confirms the scam is intended to intimidate and steal money from the victims, and anyone targeted by it should not reply or interact with the other party.

As a reminder, Missoula PD says you should never give out personal or financial information unless you know with whom you’re speaking.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Corporal Steve Crass at (406) 552-6300.
