BOZEMAN — A 26-year-old Belgrade man appeared before judge Bryan Adams after he is accused of pushing and punching a 64-year old Belgrade woman in the face Sunday.
Court documents say Spencer Cathey was speeding on a four-wheeler near the victim’s house. When Cathey stopped, the victim told police she asked Cathey not to drive so crazy on the road.
The exchange turned into a verbal altercation, then quickly turned physical after Cathey allegedly shoved the 64-year-old before punching her to the left side of her face knocking her to the ground, according to court documents.
Police arrested Cathey after he called police to give his version of what happened. His bond was set at $5,000.
