Montana man arrested for probation violation, threats to hospital

BOZEMAN — A 19-year-old Bozeman man was taken into custody on Monday at the Gallatin County Jail for a probation violation and parole detention.

According to court documents, Brandon Lee Smith was cited for disorderly conduct after threatening to shoot up the hospital on Monday.

In Justice Court on Tuesday, Judge Adams assigned Smith a public defender for his future court date and set his terms of release at $25,000.

Smith has multiple priors, including theft and possession of a weapon in Yellowstone County, and disorderly conduct and assault with a weapon in Gallatin County.
