Sona Chu has been charged with felony promotion of prostitution in Great Falls.

Court documents state that Chu, 66 years old, is the registered owner of Tokyo Massage at 3823 10th Avenue South.

An anonymous source provided to investigators information from a massage review website which revealed numerous reviews of Tokyo Massage indicating that clients have entered the establishment and exchanged payment for sexual acts.

Several days ago, investigators talked with a person who was leaving Tokyo Massage after a short visit. The person admitted going inside and paying $160 for a massage with a "happy ending."

The person described the woman who performed the service as an "elderly Asian woman in her 60s," according to court documents. The person said the woman - later identified as Chu - was the only person in the building; she greeted him at the door and provided the service.

A search warrant was obtained for Tokyo Massage; approximately $12,000 in cash was seized, along with receipts, sex toys, and other items indicative of sexual services.

Chu refused to speak with investigators regarding the allegations and requested an attorney.

Court documents state that due to the non-violent nature of the crime and the current health pandemic, a full-custody arrest of Chu was not required.
