FINLEY POINT — Across Montana, people are still dealing with the aftermath of this weekend’s storm, especially the residents in Finley Point.

After damaging winds tore through the area, residents are cleaning up the debris that’s primarily been left along Highway 35 in Lake County.

In some parts, power lines are still on the ground, and in one specific area, nearly 20 pine trees have collapsed and scattered across lawns and the road.

NorthWestern Energy worked 1,700 hours this weekend throughout Montana to restore power, repair lines, and remove trees from live lines.

The utility also reported they had more than 300 incidents of downed lines or trees on lines.

As a reminder, it’s important to assume all downed and low-hanging lines are still energized.
