Pre-evacuation notice issued for residents near Knowles fire

PARADISE — The Sanders County Sheriff's Office issued pre-evacuation notices for some people living in the area of the Knowles Fire.

Residents in the McLaughlin Creek area were advised of the situation on Tuesday evening.

The Knowles Fire, outside of Paradise, has burned approximately 1,000 acres since starting on Sunday afternoon.

A public meeting to discuss the Knowles Fire will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Plains Elementary School gym.
