Wildfire grows to 25 acres near Arlee

ARLEE — A wildfire that broke out in the Mission Valley on Sunday afternoon has grown to 25 acres.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Division of Fire told MTN News that they sent resources to the blaze that us burning about eight miles southeast of Arlee.

CSKT Fire Information Officer C.T. Camel says two helicopters, 20 personnel, and 10 smokejumpers are among the assigned resources.

The blaze is believed to be human-caused by an unattended campfire.

However, the official cause remains under investigation.

No structures are threatened and no evacuations have been ordered.
