The Highline Trail in Glacier National Park will remain closed Friday between Grinnell Glacier Overlook and Logan Pass due to bear activity surrounding an animal caracass on the trail, according to national park officials.
Park officials said they will re-evaluate bear activity Saturday morning before determining whether to reopen.
The Highline Trail is one of the most popular in Glacier Park, stretching nearly 12 miles from Logan Pass to the Loop.
