Downtown Missoula shooting occurred early Saturday morning

The Missoula Police Department says it is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in downtown Missoula.

Sgt. Michael Hebert said an initial call from the hospital came in around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning, about an adult female with non life threatening gunshot wounds.

It was later determined the incident occurred at the 300 block of E Front Street, sometime between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m.

Detectives arrived on scene, and are still investigating the incident.

Sgt. Hebert said one male suspect was arrested in connection to the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear.

Hebert said there is no threat to the public at this time. This story will be updated.
