KALISPELL — The City of Kalispell wants to hear from its citizens.

City officials are holding their annual public needs assessment hearing on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. in the Kalispell City Hall.

The city's Krista Lammers says it's important for officials to hear the concerns within the community.

Lammers tells MTN News that during last year's meeting citizens overwhelmingly expressed concern over affordable housing and the homelessness issue.

Using that information, the City of Kalispell applied for state grants to better meet the city's needs.

"So, housing, public facilities and economic development -- those are the major areas the grant funding is used for," said Lammers.
