KALISPELL — We are learning more information about a Monday morning high speed pursuit in the Flathead.
Fake license plates prompted a Kalispell Police officer to pull a vehicle over on US Highway 93 north of Reserve.
The vehicle did not stop, with multiple law enforcement agencies pursuing the suspect car.
Stop sticks were eventually deployed, deflating the suspect vehicle's tires.
When officers approached the car, a female passenger was found inside while the male driver ran away.
Two Bear Air was deployed in search efforts to locate the male driver.
The driver had not been located, but has been positively identified as of Monday evening.
The female passenger is released and not charged with any crime.
Luckily, no one was injured and there's no danger to the public.
