Glacier National Park is working to alleviate congestion around the Avalanche Trailhead and Avalanche Campground.
Park officials are looking for areas where improvements can be made as part of the Going-to-the-Sun Corridor Management plan.
Park Superintendent Jeff Mow notes that a big problem right now is parking for the Avalanche trailhead.
Mow says a possibility is moving the Avalanche gate entrance back, allowing more parking and preventing backups.
Another option is allowing avalanche campground to be open for parking as well.
The plan is open for public comment until Oct. 6. Click here to learn more about the plan
