Hundreds of students from Glacier High School and Flathead High School learned about the importance of careers in the trade industry on Thursday.
Teachers from Flathead Valley Community College helped the students experience each different trade industry with a hands-on project.
Students like Glacier High School Sophomore Cole Nickerson were able to find out more about woodworking.
"It actually helps our community get together. With buildings and stuff like that, welding, wood working. It helps a lot of the cities work the way that they work," explained Nickerson.
Nickerson built a miniature box as part of the class thanks to some help from a FVCC teacher.
Later in the afternoon students toured Flathead facilities in the trade industry like Applied Materials, Weyerhaeuser, and PROOF Research.
