KALISPELL — After being closed for two months, a popular museum in Kalispell is reopening its doors on Saturday.

The Hockaday Museum of Art reopens under capacity limitations, increased sanitation and other social distancing measures. All staff will wear masks and gloves for visitor protection and all visitors are required to sign in at the front desk with contact information.

Hockaday Museum of Art director Alyssa Cordova says general public visiting hours are reduced to Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She says special visiting hours have been arranged for seniors 65 and older on Thursdays.

“On Thursdays only we will only be open for seniors from 9 a.m. to noon just so they have a day where they feel comfortable and then there’s not any confusion of wait was it a morning time, am I too late, am I too early, so we just thought let’s just have one specific day that’s devoted just for seniors to come and visit," Cordova said.

Practicing social distancing, Cordova says only 10 visitors are allowed in each upstairs and downstairs gallery at a time.
