KALISPELL — The Flathead County Human Trafficking Task Force teamed up with West Valley Middle school students Friday preparing dignity bags for people at risk of exploitation.

Twenty-five 8th grade students loaded 80 dignity bags with personal care items, human trafficking indicators and phone numbers to call for support.

The bags will be distributed to local law enforcement throughout the Flathead Valley.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Department Child Crime Victim Advocate Sean Sullivan says dignity bags will be placed into every patrol car.

Sullivan says today’s goal was to have students become part of the solution of ending human trafficking in the Flathead Valley.

“We basically gave them an opportunity today to become part of the solution and put together tools that will help these people,” said Sullivan

Sullivan also gave four lectures throughout the fall to West Valley students on internet safety and human trafficking.
