EAST MISSOULA — Firefighters battled a house fire on Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of Montana Avenue in East Missoula.
All of the windows were broken out in the home and there was smoke damage throughout the home.
Fire crews were called to the scene at around 4:35 p.m. No injuries have been reported in the blaze that broke out in the back of the home.
One adult and four children reportedly live in the home and the American Red Cross is working on finding them shelter.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.

Numerous fire agencies are on the scene of a structure fire in east Missoula Wednesday afternoon.
The initial call came in around 4:30pm for a house fully engulfed in flames on Montana Avenue.
