UM issues alert for man exposing himself near practice fields

MISSOULA — University of Montana officials issued an alert Thursday afternoon regarding a man who was reportedly exposing himself near campus.

In an email sent to students, officials stated they are investigating reports of a man exposing himself on the practice fields north of campus between the Madison Street Bridge and the Van Buren Footbridge.

The suspect is described as a white, adult male with short blond or gray hair and no facial hair. He is believed to be age 40-50 and 6' tall. He was wearing a large, white overcoat or long shirt with black leg stockings and shoes with no pants.

The alert states the man was last seen heading towards the Clark Fork River.

Officers are searching the area. You are asked to call 911 if you encounter the man or have any other information concerning the incident.
