MISSOULA — There were kids waiting to see Santa Claus on ice skates this weekend at the Glacier Ice Rink as the sixth annual Santa Skate kicked off the rink's holiday season.
There was over 200 people in attendance waiting to see Santa trade in his boots for some skates
Laura Henning, the Director of the Glacier Ice Rink said this was their way to give back to the community by providing families a place to be together and celebrate the holidays, despite the warmer weather.
“It’s too warm for ice skating, so people may not be thinking of it right now but, we do this every year, because people think about skating over the holidays and this is our chance to really give back to the community, and give them something fun outside skating over the holidays and give them something fun to come do,” said Henning.
Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Montana sponsored the event.
