The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance in the 21000 block of Old Highway 93 South in Florence after 11 p.m. Saturday night.
A woman reported to law enforcement that she was threatened by the male in her home and that she then fled to a neighbors. She also described the male as being under the influence of drugs.
Once on the scene deputies spoke with the woman they notified neighbors and secured the area. The male suspect had boarded himself inside the residence. Throughout Saturday night and into the morning deputies made several attempts to make contact and negotiate the suspects surrender.
The Missoula County Special Response Team, assisted by a Kalispell unit, arrested the suspect without incident at 7:25 a.m. Sunday morning after gaing entry into the home.
